Magic and Spells Guide
Magic is a great force of
incredible power. To use magic you must hire wizards and runists.
The runists used to transform mana into runes, but now they can make
them directly without using mana. Your wizards can
then use those runes to cast spells. The number of runes needed to
cast a spell varies from spell to spell and will increase as each
spell is cast. Fortunately, this effect diminishs with time. For example, if you wanted to cast Destroy Runes on some poor shmuck, it will cost you 1,400 runes; but if you wanted to cast that same spell on another person, it will cost you a great deal more. The number of runes it takes to cast a spell consecutively decreases with time, until it reaches the base rune cost, in this case, 1,400 runes. If you still want to decrease the rune cost of a spell, you can research magic with your scholars. Refer to the research page for more help.
